The Space Systems business protects and enables life in space, on land and under the sea. We provide Environmental Control and Life Support Systems on the International Space Station, including the space suit, and undersea in submarines. Our hardware is paramount to survival in harsh environments.
We continue to develop advanced life support and atmosphere monitoring systems for both current and next generation nuclear submarines and are leveraging our experience with undersea propulsion, fuel cell power, and electric actuation for a new generation of un-manned underwater vehicles (UUVs).
Space Systems works with the US Dept. of Homeland Security developing sensors to detect and identify chemical and biological warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals. These sensitive and reliable sensors help protect the public in subway stations, buildings and airports.
We also provide system solutions for Missiles, Missile Defense, Launch Vehicles, and Unmanned Air Systems, including Thrust Vector Control Actuation Systems, Power Generation & Management, Propellant Storage and Management Assemblies, Active Thermal Control.
